Teeter Hang Ups
Teeter Hang Ups was started in the early 1980's by Roger Teeter. The company was originally known as "Sky's The Limit", later renamed STL international, Inc. Initially the company developed and sold inversion tables and gravity boots. It is the only company in the world to continuously produce inversion equipment. Since the beginning, Teeter Hang Ups has designed and manufactured inversion equipment exclusively.
During the 1990's, Teeter Hang Ups started being sold on the Home Shopping Network on TV. In the mid 2000's the company developed several new products and became a household name because of a variety of TV ads that were broadcast on national television stations. It was also during that same period that STL international, Inc. became known as Teeter Hang Ups.
Over the years, the company has developed several different lines of inversion tables, as well as some inversion table accessories. Among their main product lines is the EP series, the Contour series, the Fit Form series, and the Power series. These different inversion tables vary in price from the low $200 range to well over $4000.
The EP series is the most popular. It consists of the EP 550, the EP 550 sport, the EP 850, and the EP 950. Each of these inversion tables have a weight capacity of 300 pounds and can handle people with a height from 4'8" to 6'6". The units weigh approximately 75 pounds and measure 48 x 61 x 27". Each also comes with a five-year warranty. As you might imagine, the higher the number in the series the more features that inversion table has. Prices run from about $300 for the EP 550 up to $400 for the EP 950 and $420 for the EP 550 Sport. By looking around the Internet, you can find some very good prices. Additionally, several of these models can be purchased as refurbished for additional savings.
Another category in the Teeter Hang Ups series of inversion tables is the Contour series. Included in this series are the NXT-R, the Contour L3, and the Contour Power. These inversion tables are even more user-friendly than the EP series. This is accomplished through a simpler pivot system, an easier ankle rachet closing mechanism, an EZ reach handle, and a patented motor in the case of the Contour Power. These tables vary in price from $420-$1500.
The Fit Form inversion table is in a category by itself. This table is one of the lowest priced Teeter Hang Ups, with a price as low as $200. It is still a quality built inversion table, but it doesn't have many of the bells and whistles of the higher-priced tables.
The Power series is the top-of-the-line of Teeter Hang Ups. These tables can cost anywhere from $1500 up to $4500. In addition to being motorized, they have many enhanced features, depending on the model. Some of them are made to accommodate users from 6 feet to 7'4" and up to 350 pounds. Other models are designed for use in commercial gyms or physical therapy offices. The models in this series include the Power VI, the DFM, the Contour Power, and the Power XL.
As was mentioned earlier, there are also some accessory items that can be purchased for Teeter Hang Ups. These include inversion boots, cushions, special handles, and gravity boots.
As you can see from the long list of Teeter Hang Ups inversion tables in the various series, there are many choices available. Research on the Internet will help you further narrow down which tables will fit your needs best.
